So every entry is written to answer the following questions: what problem am I solving, why this method, and what has to be true for it to work. If I can’t answer them yet, the entry stays a seedling.

How finished is each note

• Seedling I’ve collected it and know roughly what it does.
• Growing I understand it and have used it, but I’m still testing my reasoning.
• Evergreen I can defend the choice to a sceptical colleague.
